Gain a new perspective!
Whilst soaking in this view of the Three Sisters* from Sublime Point, I was reminded of the advantages of looking at the familiar from new perspectives. That’s because many visitors to the Blue Mountains only see this iconic rock formation from the Echo Point lookout. I understand why – it’s easy for tour buses to access, has visitor parking, information and facilities in addition to being close to the neighbouring community of Katoomba and Leura.
However, this “reverse view” highlights to me more clearly where this natural monument is located within the Blue Mountains National Park and the many opportunities its vast surroundings offer.
In a similar way, facilitated marketing reviews and strategy development workshops give my clients an opportunity to reassess their marketing landscape:
· Results and opportunities are explored from different perspectives, challenging assumptions and biases.
· Experience and innovation from other industries can be leveraged.
· Ideas and opportunities are developed to drive competitive advantage.
· Marketing strategies and plans remain dynamic and adaptable.
“Lightbulb moments” often come from:
· Innovative solutions to help increase their sales and revenue.
· Understanding why their customers buy.
· Insights into gaining more bang for every marketing buck spent.
· Developing the collaboration between sales and marketing to close more sales in a faster timeframe
· Exploring how to enter new markets and/or increase current market share.
· Shared examples and techniques.
· Demonstrating how communications can resonate with customers’ motivations, personalities and learning styles.
Together with Ross Keating, I’ll be sharing insights into why customers buy (and why it is the secret to effective marketing) at Penrith Chamber’s Lunch and Learn on 18th September. If you’re in or around Sydney, I do hope you can join us (click here to book)
