Stand out from the crowd with sustainability marketing

Image showing 5 benefits of sustainability marketing, used to illustrate a post by Hannah Welch, sustainability marketing specialist and founder of Chovil & Thake

Did you know that 45% of Australians always or often consider sustainability as part of their purchasing decision-making?

And that 70% of Australian jobseekers want to work for firms that take climate change seriously?

Recruitment and brand building were just 2 of the following five ways I shared at the Western Sydney Manufacturers Forum for businesses to use their ESG activities to stand out from the crowd and win contracts:

1.   Demonstrating your scope 3 climate reporting ability

2.   Attracting investment and partnerships, often with more favourable terms

3.   Showcasing your innovation and efficiency

4.   Recruiting and retaining staff

5.   Enhancing brand reputation

With skills shortages across manufacturing, especially in the climate reporting space, the opportunities to use sustainability in both external and internal communication to attract and retain staff seemed to particularly resonate.
