What’s our “why”?

“Being a mum to grownup sons, I want to be a good ancestor, protecting our world for them to enjoy when they are my age and beyond.”

Hannah Welch
Sustainability Marketing Specialist & Founder, Chovil & Thake

Chovil & Thake is based in the Blue Mountains (NSW, Australia). We’re surrounded by the natural beauty of bush, cliffs and waterfalls.

This means that at some point during the day, we can walk from the door of our office and surrounded by bush in just a few minutes. We see stunning views on the way to see clients across Western Sydney, NSW and beyond.

This area experiences the same weather extremes as the rest of Australia. Hot dry summers that bring a major bushfire risk and torrential rain that brings flooding and thunderstorms. We often see storms coming across the mountains and smoke from fire. It’s a reminder that our ecosystem is fragile and that we need to protect it, and not just because we are based in a World Heritage Site.

Living in a place where global warming is obvious, we need to be listening to the forecasts that global warming is speeding up. Life in the next 100 years will become much more difficult.

However, we believe that the future of our planet can be helped by lots of people trying to be sustainable rather than a few doing it perfectly. Which is why we love supporting organisations that have products and services that make a difference now, so that the world of tomorrow is environmentally better for future generations:

  • We enable organisations to share their positive impact, carbon reduction plans and sustainability stories without greenwashing, and create growth from their marketing activities.

  • We help companies align their marketing with their carbon reduction strategies, making their marketing activities more sustainable, minimising waste and reducing their carbon footprint.

We’d love to chat how we can help your organisation create and/or showcase your positive impact!
