Event Marketing Consulting

Preparing for a World Championships needs the support of the local host community as well as the relevant stakeholders from the regional, national and international sporting bodies on whose behalf it is being held.

This event also needs to be sensitive to its environmental impact and the local heritage of the lands and waters on which it is being held.

This project initially developed an event and marketing strategy which, together with an activity roadmap (plan), was used by the national organising body to help secure Council, State and Federal Government funding.

The strategy focuses on developing the area’s 2000 Olympic legacy for increasing participation in their sport; building partnerships with community and businesses (including local tourism) whilst delivering a memorable event that is best-in-class for sustainability.

Continued event and sustainability marketing consulting is being delivered as preparations for the Championships are progressing.

Achievements: marketing strategy and roadmap delivery is supporting the development of international and local business partnerships as well as the event’s budgeting processes.
